A transcription of burials at Evergreen Cemetery, Otego, shows a Josephine Evans 1853-1924. This person was buried near Albert E. Mallery, Melissa Briggs Mallery, N.E. Hitchcock and Louisa Hitchcock Mallery. I believe Josephine was actually Ivins (or Ivens) not Evans and that she may have been related to Louisa Hitchcock (Josephine's mother was named Caroline Hitchcock). Would anyone have information on when in 1924 Josephine died? I'm hoping an obituary might have further details on her. I also found a reference to Josephine S. Ivins as a member of a church in Unadilla in 1914 (M.E. Church, First Presbyterian, St Matthews). Since I haven't seen the actual source (only a reference to it) I don't know which church she may have been a member of.
