Robinson, all of Springfield." Official marriage records were not recorded in New York State until after the Civil War. According to the records of Lakewood Cemetery, just outside Cooperstown,: :"Duggleby, William, b. England. d. Cooperstown, Apr. 2, 1879, age 75. Disease - Brain. Residence - Cooperstown." According to ship arrival notices, Wm. S. Duggleby arrived in New York City from Hull, England on August 4, 1835, on board the Sir Edward Hamilton. He is described as male, 32 years old, laborer, origin Great Britain, destination U. States. There are regular entries for William Duggleby in the Utica, NY, Directory between 1862 and 1878. Also entries for William Duggleby, Jr., and (later on) William J. Duggleby.
