I've "rescued" a group of CASTLE Family photographs including one of Andrew Jackson CASTLE husband of Mary Ellen FERGUSON and father of Frank CASTLE. There are also a number of photographs of Mrs. Mary CASTLE and the two of another unidentified women, all taken in Boston, Massachusetts Studios, with one addressed "To Frank". Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding this CASTLE Family: Andrew J. CASTLE was b. 16 Jan 1837 in Otego, New York to parents Eleazer CASTLE (1793-1886 born in Oswego, NY) and Sally? (b. 1800 in Oswego, NY). Andrew was one of 7 children born to this couple including, Alfred; John; Sally Ann; Andrew; Emoline; Parmelia; and Theodore CASTLE, all born between 1826 and 1849. Andrew married Mary Ellen FERGUSON (b. 1839) and together they had a son, Frank Arthur CASTLE b. 1862. Andrew died 19 Jan 1886 in Boston, Massachusetts and is buried in the Dorchester North Burying Ground in Dorchester, MA. Andrew's occupation at the time of his death was Machinist. Census records provide the following details: 1870 census of Boston, MA: Andrew J. CASTLE, age 32, a Light Machinist, born NY Mary E. CASTLE, age 31, Keeping House, born NY Frank CASTLE, age 7, at School, born NY 1880 census of Boston, MA: Andrew J. CASTLE, age 42, born NY, a Machinist Mary E. CASTLE, wife, age 41, born NY Frank A.
