Hi Sandy, If you check the Cattaraugus County website at http://www.rootsweb.com/~nycattar, you will find many references to the EDSON family. I made a quick search there and found a reference to Isaac B. EDSON living in Machias in the 1855 Census, however, I believe this is Isaac Baxter EDSON (1806-1862), a son by the second wife, Persis (BILLS) EDSON. Isaac Baxter EDSON married Sally Jane JEWELL and had 10 children, a family that I'm researching.
