I'm looking for any info I can get on Peter Wells & his wife Patience (Straight). They lived in Scio for 40 yrs. at the same residence & NO ONE has any info regarding them. They were my gr. gr. gr. grandparents. I've been diggin for them for 10 yrs. & still can't find out who their parents were. Peter descends from Peter Wells of 1630, RI. but we don't know how. We know he is desc. because our WELLS Association did DNA testing on known living desc. & it has been proven. Peter & Patience died during the Civil War, while their sons were away at the front. We can't even find where they are buried! if ANYONE has ANY info regarding them, please, please please let me know. Peter was b. 1810, Madison Co., NY. Patience ws born abt. 1816. All their children were born in Allegany Co. Children were: George, Mary, John, Romanzo, Orpha Semantha, Alice Margaret, Homer, Wallace & LeRoy. The URL for my Allegany Co., NY.
