O. Lone Rock; was born in Burlington, Otsego Co., N. Y., March 22, 1815. He married, in his native county, Miss Rachel Brooks; she was born in England; they came to Wisconsin in 1851, and settled in the town of Bear Creek, Sauk Co., which has been their home since; they have two children--C. D. Johnson, an enterprising and energetic young man, and Miss Lucy J. In early life, Mr. Johnson followed school-teaching, and taught school several years in his native county; he manufactured the first cheese in the town of Bear Creek, a business he was engaged in several years. He owns 280 acres of land; his farm is desirably located and is finely improved; his residence was erected in 1878, and is one of the finest buildings in the southern portion of Sauk Co.
