I did a little research on this bill, and find that it is no more restrictive than the current law. What it will stop is someone getting a current, valid birth certificate, from a living individual. I see it as of no concern to someone doing genealogical work. Looks more like a scare tactic from someone who has ulterior motives. Dave Seely
Dave, I'm enbarassed to ask but will you please tell me where to go after HR10 appears. I saw nothing to indicate data on birth certificates anywhere in the scrolled topics. It will take me at least 10 yrs. to find it.
