Cindy, I'm not sure what happened to their first son John. In the 1850 census there are 3 John Magees born about 1790 in NY. One is in Leroy, Lake County, OH. One is in Esperance, Schoharie, New York. And the last is in Junius, Seneca, New York. My understanding is the records for Decatur NY burned last February when the township's clerks home burned.
