Does anyone know of a connection between Elinora Preston Northup and Almira Gillett Betts? Elinora's newborn daughter and 3 year old son were under the care of Almira Gillett Betts (w/o Lyman Betts) after their mother Elinora died in 1836 at about 26 years of age in Franklin, NY. I'm curious as to why Almira instead of a Preston or Northup resident. Thanks for any info. Annette Campbell
