    1. Re: Otsego Co newspapers
    2. Hugh, I have been unable to prove that Jane Magee (b. a1805 in Decatur) is the daughter of John Magee and Rachel Walker due to entire families not being enumberated in the first half of that century. Is there any mention of Jane in the newspapers (possibly a birth or marriage announcement). Being from the other side of the country, I'm unfamiliar with what papers would cover the Decatur area. I appreciate any help. Thank you. Rita pvmeistrel@aol.com In a message dated 11/16/2005 7:01:06 A.M. The search engine is also a good one. Hugh Hugh MacDougall Official Historian Village of Cooperstown 8 Lake Street Cooperstown, NY 13326 _coophist@stny.rr.com_ (mailto:coophist@stny.rr.com)
