I know some other states offer HQ for free. Connecticut is one of them. All you need is your local library card number. I'm not a member of Ancestry, but I understand HQ has just about everything Ancestry has. In any case, Heritage Quest is a fantastic resource for people who cannot afford to spend a lot of money.
