According to the Biographical Review of Otsego County of 1893, after the war, Charles Nicholas was a clerk in a hotel in West Laurens. They lived on the farm most of their lives since leaving the notel and have resided in their present home twenty three years. His two sons, Albert H. and Charles W. are engaged with him as sawyers in the manufacture of lumber. Albert H. Married Cora E.
