Hi Kim, Welcome! Most people on all of these lists are very generous with their time and help, lookups are free! Once in a while you will find an advertisement, which I believe is not allowed, someone correct me if I'm wrong, that will come through with someone looking for money to do research. On the Otsego county page you will find a lookups page that lists people and what they have - they will do lookups for free, there is also a listing for researchers - they get paid.
