    3. It is great to see this subject revisited every so often. One good way to prevent even the hint of impropriety is SOURCE CITATION................... When a researcher uses ANY information found ANYWHERE, it is that researcher's responsibility to cite the source where found. If the same information is found in a couple of different places, it is good practice to mention those as well. Researchers do not invent the information they write about. If they do not invent it and do not cite the source from which it was found, that use [as innocent as it may be] may constitute plagiarism, let alone copyright infringement. For the sake of intellectual honesty, source citation needs to be insisted upon. Our wonderful NYOTSEGO Rootsweb site already has a link to a useful source of Copyright Information.
