As a layman I do not see the proposed legislation relating to copyright law as one which probably will, and should, bite the dust. A little more courtesy on the part of genealogy compilers as well as common sense realization that living persons should not have their mother's maiden exposed on public web sites, for example, would go a long way in avoiding disagreements and hassles. I've seen the name of a living person on a web site. I believe that one should be able to file a complaint with the site owner and have the offending material removed. G. M.
