My mother was adopted by an Oliver family in 1917. I have lots of pictures, etc. if you think you can connect. The Oliver brothers were Almon and Alson and lived in Broome County, NY. Almon is the one that adopted my Mom. I also descend from Phillips. Hi Elaine We have connected before, you were looking for your McIntyre ancestors. Did you ever find them? Oliver McIntyre, Westford, Otsego Co married Mary Oliver, both from Chester, MA and two children (3, one died) were born from tht marriage, Christian (3x gr grandnmother) and John, in Worcester, NY. I believe Mary and Oliver to be buried someplace in the area of where they lived, but have not found them yet (maybe never will). Oliver remarried Mary/Polly Miller Hitchock and they had 3 children, Marsena, Oliver and Polly O. who married Elijah C. Phillips. Can't find Elijah and Polly together aft 1850, Elijah and dau Lucy are in 1870. Are you familar with this Phillips? Hi Diane, No,thank you, I am not looking for anyone. I never research the Oliver surname because they were my mother's adopted family and I only look for my blood line. I will check on the Phillips you mentioned and let you know if they are in my files.
