Hello: Here are the entries that I found: Evergreen Hill Cemetery Section E George B., 1909 - Frances A., 1911 - Richard P., 1933 - 1948 St. Matthews Cemetery KINCH Three children of Erastus Kingsley, Removed to Lot 3, Range 1, Grave 3. Mrs. Horton, bur. Jan. 24, 1855 Lot 12, Range 4, Grave 12 or 3 Child of James, bur. Dec. 21, 1862 Lot 22, Range 2, Grave 3 Milo, child of James, bur. Oct. 5, 1862 Lot 22, Range 2, Grave 4. (I don't know why the Kingsley is listed under Kinch but that is what it has in the book) In the back of the book there is the 1850 census for the town of Unadilla. This is what is listed: Horton Kinch 22 M Laborer New York Janett C. Kinch 21 F It is listed with an InnKeeper as head of the household so they must have been living at an Inn. Hope this helps; Lori On Wed, 7 Apr 2004 12:24:56 -0600 "Laura S" <llseward@rangeweb.net> wrote: > > Dear Lori, > Would appreciate a look-up on the Kinch name, we have > several who are > reportedly buried there. > Thank you, Laura > llseward@rangeweb.net > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Lori Brandon" <lbrandn@trib.com> > To: <NYOTSEGO-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Wednesday, April 07, 2004 8:56 AM > Subject: [NYOTSEGO] At Rest in Unadilla > > > > I have a copy of this book and would be willing to do > look > > ups until some copies become available for purchase. > > > > > > ==== NYOTSEGO Mailing List ==== > > To unsubscribe from this list in digest mode send an > email with > > the word, unsubscribe,in the subject field & body of > the message > > to the following address: > NYOtsego-d-request@rootsweb.com > > > > ============================== > > Gain access to over two billion names including the > new Immigration > > Collection with an Ancestry.com free trial. Hello; It only lists Unadilla Center Cemetery. If you want me to look for a surname I would be happy to. Hello; Yes you are correct that it is listed in St. Matthews. On the page that you mention it is listed and says that bur. May 30, 1813 Lot 11, Range 4, Grave 3. However there is a notation that this is one of the graves that a headstone was not found when she did the walk thru of the cemetery but that it was listed in the early records in the Town Historians Office. That the only mention I find of early records. There are no other Signor's listed in the book. I hope this helps some. Does it have Unadilla Forks Cemetert? Most of my husband's family is buried there. MFR
Lori, On page 285, the name SIGNOR, child of John, I believe it's St Matthew's Church cemetery. What about records at that early date? Any mention? This is the first possible link that my ancestor, John Signor was in Otsego Co, where his son claimed to have been born before removing to Cortland County. Other spellings were Signer and Sickner. I have a copy of this book and would be willing to do look ups until some copies become available for purchase.
Shirley is back in Sidney - but we are playing phone tag with her! Laurene
Shirley is at this time getting rid of her genealogy collection, I'm not sure how much she has left. Unfortunately I believe that she is someplace for the winter (Florida?) right now, should be home soon. You can contact her at: Shirley Goerlich RSG Publishing PO Box 441 Sidney, NY 13838 -------Original Message------- From: NYOTSEGO-L@rootsweb.com Date: 04/06/04 23:35:07 To: NYOTSEGO-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [NYOTSEGO] At Rest In Unadilla Thanks to Rene' and Laurene for their information about the book. msd ==== NYOTSEGO Mailing List ==== To unsubscribe from this list in list mode send an email with the word, unsubscribe,in the subject field & body of the message to the following address: NYOtsego-l-request@rootsweb.com ============================== Gain access to over two billion names including the new Immigration Collection with an Ancestry.com free trial.
