Harry, FAVRE I checked the NYS vital records index today. The only Favre I found was a Leroy Favre b. November 21 1887 in Tompkins cert # 51112 and Florence Favre 1886 in Stony Point A lot of births didn't make it into the VS records or were recorded as male or female, so it doesn't mean they were not born in NY State. Harry, I checked on Heritage Quest - which does not have the 1880 census. However, it did pull up a couple for different years. Probably will be of no help as they are not in NY....but I always figure you never know. Maybe a relative or something. Good luck in your search. I am unable to find any census record of Albert Favor, or for that matter anyone named Favor, in Otsego County in 1880 or before. Nor do I find mention of any persons named Favor in the county histories, or the local newspaper obituaries. Are you sure of the Maryland, Otsego County, location of the family in the early 1800s?
