    1. List name in subject line

    3. --=======BDB68DF======= Content-Type: text/plain; x-avg-checked=avg-ok-16682300; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit This is part of the setup that the list manager makes on Rootsweb. It is not dependent on one's email program or browser. I manage a bunch of lists and I do include the list name in the subject line, so people don't have to open each message to see the headers. However, I use an email program that does not automatically preview each message, so it's important to me to be able to tell the message's origin from the subject line alone. People who preview each message can tell more easily where it's from without needing the list name in the subject. It's a personal preference, and no matter how the list manager sets the options on Rootsweb, somebody is going to complain.
