I am looking for two obits in most likely in Parish, Oswego County, New York. Lydia Ann (Bishop) Lewis, died October 9, 1993. Lydia's SSDI also lists Syracuse, Onondaga, New York, but I know she lived basically in Parish. Clark Lewis, died December 1978. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Carol Tebo
Carol: I don't have the obituary for Clark Lewis, however I do have information on his family. My GGGrandmother's brother was Abraham Brooks. He married Sophronia Crim. Sophronia Crim's first husband was Alonzo N. Lewis, Clark's grandfather. Clark's father was Andrew Lawrence Lewis and he married Mary Catherine Pickens. Mary's brother Alvinzie Albert Pickens was married to Frances Martha P. Brooks - Abraham Brook's sister. It's all a little complicated, but I'm happy to share any of this. I have some photos of Clark and his family if you are interested. I did not have the information on Clark's wife Lydia, so I will add that to my records. I would be interested in any info that you may have - especially on the Brooks of Pickins families. Eric, Lydia Lewis is my cousin. Here is what I have on her: Born Lydia Ann Bishop, August 7, 1904 in Chester, Hampshire County, Massachusetts Her father was George T. Bishop (have not chased this family back) Her mother was Isabelle D. Hunter, born June 10, 1870 in Grand Island, Nebraska I do not know when George and Isabelle (Aunt Belle) were married. Isabelle's parents were John David Hunter (Columbus, OH) and Clarissa (Clara) Howard (Bristol NY, but grew up in York, OH) I don't have any information on John's family except that his mother was Isabelle (don't have maiden name). Clara (Gramma Root - Root by second marriage) parents were Augustus Howard from Vermont, and Polly (don't know maiden name) from New York. That is as far back as I have been able to get. I do have some additional information on the Howard and Hunter families (siblings of John and Clara), and information on Mary(my grandmother) and Frances Hunter - twin sisters of Aunt Belle. Please e-mail me direct and I will fill you in with what I have. wetcat@ionet.net Carol
