    3. I have a John Minahan married to a Mary Donovan who immigrated to the United States after the birth of at least one of their children, my gggrandmother Johanna who was born in Jun 1842. They came from Irish Free State. I do know that Johanna had at least one brother John. Johanna married a Peter Enwright (Enright) and they had 5 children, Bridget 1865-, Mary Agnes 1869-1917, James H. 1870-1947, Katherine 1871-1964, Sara 1874-. It sounds like your generation that you are talking about would be the generation of my ggrandmother Katherine Enright Murray. The men you are talking about were probably either brothers or cousins to Johanna. I lost a lot of my genealogy when my computer crashed and am working from my written copies to put them all back in. Keep in touch and as I work on the Minahan's I am sure I can help you. I have at least two more generations then you do. I'm decended from George and aside from the 1910 Federal census, I haven't found anything about him. I've found WW1 draft registrations for the others as well as their death notices. George (my great-grandfather) apparently died in the 1918 influenza epidemic, so any information on Oswego during that period would be helpful too. Ross - Two of the Ross brothers came up from Kentucky at the turn of the century and got into the shadier side of boxing. They eventually brought their sister Lillian (my great-grandmother) up to keep house for them and their little brother Joe to do some fighting. I'd love any information about any of the brothers - Wirt (b.1883), Ernest or Joe. Thanks ______________________________Date: Fri, 30 Jun 2006 12:30:43 +0000 From: "Russell Sprague" <russxsprague@hotmail.com> To: NYOSWEGO-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Minahan, Ross You might try these two sites where you can search old papers online: http://www.fultonhistory.com/Fulton.html and http://news.nnyln.net/ They can take a while to load images even if you have a hi speed connection.
