    3. That's what I thought but the County legislators that voted for the cut were elected to another term. This county is so messed up. They did vote for a 33% raise in our taxes. There are some of flunkies that are the payroll that are family etc. to the legislators. You know we have to have people at the Fulton Airport to help the non existent flyers in from there. Opps! Don't get me started on this one. In your case he got rid of a woman that more than earned her salary. You only have to look at your county road crews to see money wasted--one works while three watch him work. He would have been better advised to get rid of some of the fat cats on the road crews and keep a woman that really brought history back to Oswego County. One could say "Oh well, that's his loss, but it isn't--it is ours". I would not volunteer to help him either. Is he an elected individual? 3. Marilyn, Unfortunately nepotism is quite common in gov't ,most everywhere, but I don't believe the general public is aware of HOW much of it goes on and sometimes wonder if they care. WOW!! A 33% raise in taxes, and you can bet it will be higher next year, which is also happening because the Fed govt passes costs down to the states, that pass it down to counties, to towns, etc. That is an interesting fact about the Fulton airport. How many years has it been "in operation"? Do you know? If I remember rightly, isn't the old dumping area right next to this airport? Perhaps an article on nepotism (as relatives of friends) in the local gov't in the local newspaper might stir some voters up. BTW, would the history of this airport be in the records of Barb's old office? That's how I prefer to refer to it. <g> Thanks for the info! Dianne
