    3. Dear List, I have read all your letters and agree wholeheartedly about Barbara Dix. But, we are in error about sending our letters to Stephan Lyman, County Administrator and BUDGET OFFICER! Mr. Lyman has made his decision and the majority of the County Ways, Means and Budget Committee and the Personnel Committee have chose this budget to present to the Full Legislature (yesterday) for their consideration, to discuss, modify, reject, etc. These are the people who will make the ultimate decision. I have been watching the coverage of this topic on our local newscast (Syracuse) and it would seem that Mr. Lyman has some serious opposition already on the Board. Two Legislators, in particular, Michael Kunswiler, who is also a member of the Ways, Means, and Budget Committee and James McMahon, a member of the Personnel Committee. THIS LEGISLATURE WILL DECIDE THE FATE OF THE LIST OF PERSONNEL CUTS NEXT WEEK! WE DO NOT HAVE MUCH TIME! THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE ALREADY SENT LETTERS TO MR. LYMAN, PLEASE SEND COPIES TO THE FULL LEGISLATURE AND THE REST OF YOU, FORGET ABOUT LYMAN AND ALSO SEND TO THE LEGISLATURE. Letters (email is great, because our time is short) should be addressed to the OSWEGO COUNTY LEGISLATURE C/O THEODORE JERRITT, CLERK OF THE BOARD, AND ASK THAT YOUR LETTER BE READ AT THE START OF THE MEETING ON AUGUST 14th, (this next THURSDAY). Mr. Jerritt's email addy is: [email protected] IN THE MEANTIME, KEEP ABREAST OF WHAT THEY ARE DOING BY READING THE OSWEGO DAILY NEWS ONLINE. http://www.oswegodailynews.com Also, Steve Yablonski, Oswego Bureau Chief for the Daily News, should be contacted to do a story on Barbara's contributions in the Oswego paper. Her son's story appeared in the Fulton edition, you'll notice. The above is the most efficient way to get our voices heard by the people who will ultimately make the cuts! I do not live in Oswego County, but have been a county employee (retired now) in Madison County, who worked with the County Legislature and it's committees in negotiating employee contracts. If we had known about this sooner, Mr. Lyman would have been the one to talk with, but, it's too late for that now. Thanks for listening and PLEASE, stuff their INBOX! [email protected]
