    3. Hi, I just joined this list and am looking for some cousins. I am searching for: William Chrestler (may also be Christler) b- 1916 d- 20 Oct 1997 Oswego, Oswego, NY Chester L Chrestler (again may also be Christler) b- 1921 d- 6 Dec 2001 Fulton, Oswego, NY I believe these are 2 of the cousins I have been looking for. their parents would have been Harry and Margaret (Rose) Christler from Pennsylvania. Chrestler, 80, of 4506 NYS Rte. 3, Palermo, died Thursday, Dec. 6 at home. A native of Bakerton, Pa., Mr. Chrestler resided in Syracuse many years before moving to Palermo in 1983. He retired in 1968 after 21 years at Crucible Steel in Syracuse. Mr. Chrestler was a member of The Lighthouse Mexico Church of God in Mexico. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Velma M. Chrestler of Palermo; two daughters, Linda M. Mahoney of Syracuse and Laura A. Miller of Palermo; a son, Chester L. Chrestler Jr. of Fulton; a sister, Jessie Shaffer of Northern Cambria, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held Monday, Dec. 10 at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Dr. Ronald Russell officiated.     3. Thanks! I tried to search for local papers that might still have the obituary online, but I did not find this paper. The obituary confirms that I am searching the correct people here. I will have to call my Grandmother today and let her know, this would have been her cousin. Thanks so much!
