The tourist industry is the best moneymaker. I know. I live in the historical triangle of Williamsburg, Yorktown, Jamestown, Virginia and not too far from Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Isle of Wight, VA. We court tourist dollars and if anyone threatens to disturb a tourist "institution" we go up in arms. The foundation of a colonial plantation was located and the powers here wanted to pave it over for a parking lot! No way!
