Do emphasize genealogy is the fastest growing hobby and one that people are willing to spend money to support and that many now visit their places of interest, including Oswego Co.   The tourist industry is the best moneymaker.  I know.  I live in the historical triangle of Williamsburg, Yorktown, Jamestown, Virginia and not too far from Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Isle of Wight, VA.   We court tourist dollars and if anyone threatens to disturb a tourist "institution" we go up in arms.  The foundation of a colonial plantation was located and the powers here wanted to pave it over for a parking lot!  No way!
