I am trying to find the family that had children, Louisa, Sarah and a son, letter M. that was supposedly in Oswego during the 1820s. Louisa was my GG-GM and her obit from Wood Co., OH says she was born in Hannibal, Oswego Co., NY in 1823. Can anyone look for the heads of Palmer families for the 1820 & 1830 census reports. I would think there were not very many Palmer families at that time period. Thanks so much. Sue in CA
Ancestry's value at work here. :-) 1820 has 2 Palmers in Oswego Co. and they both are listed on the same page. The page is not in alphabetical order, so this tells me they lived near each other. Denison B. Palmer 1 male under 10 1 male 16-2 1 male 26-44 1 female 26-45 2 persons engaged in commerce Stutely Palmer 2 males under 10 1 male 16-25 (this looks like it was crossed out) 1 male 26-44 1 female under 10 2 females 10-15 1 females 16-26 1 female 26-45 2 persons engaged in commerce In 1830 there were 9 Palmer families.
