Sometimes the shortest little snippets reveal a lot. They can indicate whether a spouse is still living, a sister's married name etc. I remember in my hometown paper how boring all those little articles seemed but many years later they do tell a story. I have not visited cyndislist.com in quite some time but it is an excellent site which collects links to other sites. I suspect other states have online newspaper searches like these NY papers. If they do then one likely place to find them listed is cyndislist.com. I was able to find some ancestors who have gone on visits. At least it shows where they were living.
