Linda, My great grandmother was a Bargy--Hattie Bargy (1891-1982). She married William Caster. Hattie's parents were Peter Bargy and Mary Rowe who lived in Boylston. Peter Bargy's parents were Jacob Bargy and Sally Ann VanAuken. I also have Tanners in another branch of my family. Thomas Tanner of Williamstown married Jennie Kaine of Orwell. This would be abt 1870 - 1950. They lived in Sulphur Springs when they died. Let me know if you think there might be a connection. I have more info on this family. Hi Margie, I have some Williamstown Tanners as well. Benjamin Tanner (b. 25 Jul 1812 in Williamstown / d. 12 Jun 1866) married Mary Porter (b. 24 Mar 1815 in Vermont / d. 6 Jun 1885) in about 1834. I believe, but haven't proved yet, that Benjamin's parents were Abel Tanner and Lois Judd. Abel is buried in Williamstown, but I haven't been able to find Lois' grave. Benjamin and Mary's children that I am aware of are: Reuben (my gg grandfather) Catherine Francis Martha Margarett Ransom Benjamin Able Mary Albert William I don't know who your Thomas is.
