It depends on the severity of the crime. If they lived and committed the crime in the city and it wasn't real bad they may have been incarcerated in the city jail which was on the bottom floor of City Hall. If like my Uncle Larry Shortsleeve he would have ended up in the County Jail or East Side Pontiac. Affectionately named that for the vagrants who got in trouble and needed a place to winter over. That was my uncle. It was located in the old building next to where the record center is now. As far as the records for that, I don't really know if they are available or not.
