You might do better to send out one query per surname and be sure to use the surname in the subject line. Oswego has a fairly active list and someone on the list might have info to share but they may not read every query with a generic title like 'Oswego county'. Here is one area where I find good info from time to time. Go to www.rootsweb.com then click 'family trees'. Try various spellings of surnames, with and without spouse names etc. The site will display email addresses of people who post information there so you can contact them for followup information.
