Hello Mike Sounds like a wonderful trip. Just like the ones I like to make to the North Country. I also travel through Oswego and Jefferson County archives, but also have to include Lewis and St Lawrence. The people volunteering in these archives are wonderful. You made me a little homesick. Mike you mentioned that the South Jefferson Archives had moved. When and where did they move to? The last few years they were in the old historical brick homestead on Church St close to the downtown area, next to the Dollar Store. They had done a great deal of work in the past few years on that building. Are we talking a new location? Regards Pat R
Hi Pat, I have never been to the old South Jeff location, but yes, it is my understanding that where they are now is down the street from where they were formerly located. They are still on Church Street in a large brick house next door to the Post Office. They are planning an open house for their anniversary in November if all goes according to plan.
