    1. [NYOSWEGO] oswego listers, what a response
    2. What a surprise when I opened my email this morning and saw all the responses to my stqtement that i had found that Volney was in Oneida co. Ny back in the early 1800's. Thanks to everyone that responded. I have been tracking the Ives family tree for the past six years - and have found it quite an interesting journey. Now if I could just find my John (or Jacob) H. Keller side. Have traced him back to about 1803 and died in April 30, 1873. he and wife Ella, plus few more Keller's are buried in a private Keller cemetery, I believe we found it off CR 4, Volney, when we were there in 2000. Also looked at both Mt. Pleasant cemeteries and found "slews" of Ives. My great grandparents (Fred and Flora Ives), and their daughter,my grandmother,Muriel L. Ives Osborn, her two brothers, etc. What a wonderful thrill to walk through this history. So thanks again for all your suggestions and newspaper items, etc. carole Case Murphy, of Anna, Texas - born and raised in Fulton, NY

    3. Hi All Haven't been active for a bit but I came upon this site and didn't know if anyone else was aware of it and thought it might help someone. The initial consultation is free then after there is a charge. They claim to help with info of ancestors to join linear based groups such as DAR Daughters (and Sons) of Union Veterans of the Civil War. Looks like a good site www.thepastmatters.com .
