    3. Many of you might be familiar with two sites that allow automated searching of one line newspaper page images. Each covers wide geographic areas in northern NY. One is: http://news.nnyln.net/ and the other is: http://www.fultonhistory.com/Fulton.html These are such a powerful aid to research that I'm wondering if anyone knows of any other similar sites regardless of where in the country. Many of our ancestors moved around quite a bit and many papers copied each other re births, deaths and marriages. If you know of any would you please write back to the mail list? If you subscribe to other mail lists would you please forward this to that list and ask them to respond back to nystlawr-L@rootsweb.com? 2. Hi Shelley The Daniel Burdick family is in my Burdick line and they tie in with the Hubbard (another of my lines) and the Chase line. Going back to that era most were affiliated with the SDB (Seventh Day Baptist) Church. With the locations you state I hae no doubt of their connection. They came from CT and RI and into Rensselaer County and moved North into Chenango,Cayuga, Cortland and Madison Counties and then migrated out to Jefferson (Adams), Lewis Couties. The westward movement went into Alleghany, Genesee and Orleans area. There was also a Church in Richland, Oswego County at one time and no doubt some remained in the area. The Pastor of that church was Rev. Elias Burdick and members of the Hubbard family were also located there. Daniel Burdick went into Orleans County which is in the Rochester/Alfred area that was heavy with SDB churches during this time. I helped a cousin research connected tp Daniel Burdick and I am sure that they would be happy to have or have an interest in this Photograph. I will contact them and get back to you. It will take me a week as they are traveling at the present time and will not be at their location until middle of next week. . Pat R

    3. There is a site called deadfred.com (odd name but excellent genealogy site) where you can upload photos and label them with associated surnames. The photo then becomes searchable by surname(s) and associated with your email address. I believe your email address is actually 'blind' to the person making contact in case that matters. I've put up a couple of photos for the Cross and Sprague surnames. 2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Minnie & Edson TOOLE which was taken at the J. C. Perrett Studio in Mexico, New York. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900's with the two likely in their 20's or 30's at the time. The couple's names were written on the album page from which the photograph was removed. The photograph was recovered with another from Oswego County, which was a photograph of Edith MORGAN which was taken at a studio in Oswego, NY. I am hoping to locate someone from this TOOLE Family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of their family. If you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    3. I have found out a few items on Marshall Haskins. He is buried in Mt. Adnah cemetary and died in June of 1916. Eliza, his wife, died in 1873 and is buried in Hannibal. Their son Fred was three years old and was raised by his "Aunt Mary". I am thinking this was Eliza's sister Marilla Dunton who married Joseph R. Hatch and they be the relatives who moved out west. Thank you to all who replied to my inquiry and I am hoping someone might know of the Hatch family. Judy
