I've "rescued" an old autograph album which once belonged to Charles E. HUTCHINSON of New York. It was a gift from his Aunt Josephine AXTMAN and includes entries from family members including Aunts, Cousins, Mother, Grandfather, and his Father along with a number of friends. Entries in the album date from 1887 to 1905 ending with Charles' death in 1905. Snap Shot of river and roadway Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Charles and his family: Charles Emil Emmit HUTCHINSON Jr. was b. 13 Sept 1874 in Westfield, NY to parents Charles Emil Emmit C. HUTCHINSON Sr. (b. 17 May 1839 in Kendall, NY-d. 11 Feb 1902 in Westfield, NY - parents Stephen T. HUTCHINSON and Mary B. CHAFIL) and Georgette Agnas AXTMANN or AXMAN (b. Mar 1852 in France-d. 24 Mar 1917 in State Line, NY). Charles had two siblings, Louie Auguste HUTCHINSON (1887-1961) and Laura Winifred HUTCHINSON (1891-1972). Charles married Lottie BARNETTE on 26 Aug 1895 in Westfield, NY and Charles died 25 Oct 1905 in Buffalo or Elma, NY. His Mother Georgette married Frederick SWARTZ (1844-1934) after her first husband died. Mary Emily AXTMAN was b. 1 Apr 1876 in Pennsylvania to parents Charles Emil or Emile AXTMANN (b. 1847 in France-d. 1888 in New York, NY- son of Aloise AXTMANN of Mary C.) and Josephine SCHOOR or SCHOR (b. 1851). Mary had one sibling a brother August Alphous AXTMAN (b. 1877). Mary married John J. REED (1873-1915) and they had three children including, John August; Luke C.; and William A. REED all born between 1902 and 1908. Mary Emily died Aug 1972 in Poughkeepsie, NY. Mary E. AXMAN b. 1847 was married to August H. AXMAN (1844-1910) and she died in 1939 and is buried in the Westfield Cemetery in Westfield, NY. They had two children a baby girl who died in infancy and a son, Paul C. AXMAN (1890-1961). Her husband August is also buried in the same cemetery.
