I would like to learn of any organization, in this county, that considers itself to have a genealogical function. Genealogical function may include, but is not limited to,genealogical societies, lineage societies, historical societies, libraries with local history and genealogical collections, archives, and family societies. If you know of a resource or repository, or if you are a member of, or aware of, an organization in your locality, or another New York locality, please respond to this request. I am requesting the information for both my individual research and to share with members of the New York State Council of Genealogical Organizations (NYSCOGO). NYSCOGO will be finding ways to share this information with fellow New York State researchers.
