Hi, This is Dee Robinson, Reference Librarian at Hoag Library in Albion, NY. I can give you a brief overview of some of the highlights. We have a local history/genealogy room and an archives. The local history room has books on local history as well as publications on genealogy from the New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Mayflower Families, The Barbour Collection (1-55), published books of Vital Statistics of several states in New England to 1850, as well as Vital Records for communities in New York State. We also have a collection of Oral Histories that the local Historical Association completed in the 1970s. The local history room has local newspapers on microfilm from 1824 to present and some vital records from local churches. Within the library we have access to Ancestry and patrons have access at home with a library card to Heritage Quest Online. I hope this gives you at least a feel for what we have.
