    3. My name is Tammy Blue , I was born and raised in the Town of Carlton I still live here today. . I will see what I can find out for you. Dave and Maureen <[email protected]> wrote: I live in California. I had previously written to Lysbeth Hoffman, the Carlton Town Historian and she sent me a list from the old Kent Cemetery located in the Town of Carlton. She told me that there has been extensive damage to the cemetery over the years and a lot of the headstones were completely destroyed. I am searching for Jennie Capwill (Capwell). On the cemetery list, Lot 104 at one time was purchased by my Great Grandfather Andrew Capwill (Capwell), however the current occupant has the name of Ball. Lot 105 at one time was purchased by O.C. Canfield, occupant not listed. Jennie Capwill (Capwell) was last seen on the 1880 census as step-daughter to O.S. Canfield and Alzina (Harrington) Canfield in Shelby. She and my Great Grandfather Andrew Capwill (Capwell) would have gotten married between 1880 and 1883 when they had my Grandfather George Capwell. On May 1, 1886, they had twin girls and Jenny supposedly died in childbirth. In researching legal documents of the surviving twin, I noted that she on three different documents listed her Mother with different last names. Genevieve (Jenny) Moon, Burnett and Canfield. Listed on the death certificate of the non-surviving twin is the note that the Mother was from Niagara County. I have been unable to find her with any of the names listed, nor have I been able to find when and where the Canfields died and were buried or find any surviving family members. I was hoping that if I could find a funeral home then they might still have death records. I am trying to find and identify my Great Grandmother who supposedly died in childbirth on May 1, 1886 and maybe buried in the Carlton Cemetery. One of her twin daughters died in December 1887 and I have a copy of the death certificate and I assume she was buried in the Carlton Cemetery too, but there aren't any records of the burials. Unfortunately, because of the poor copy quality and illegible writing, I can't read the undertaker's name on the death certificate. The doctor's name was ? G. Smith of East Carlton.
