    3. This month, WNYGS is proud to partner with the Polish Genealogical Society of New York State for our free April program, "Understanding and Exploring Your Polish Genealogy". Join us on Saturday, April 12th as PGSNYS Vice-President David Newman discusses Poland's history and how the country's borders have changed throughout the years. Discover which five languages are most commonly found in Polish genealogical documents. Learn best practices for researching Polish surnames. Information on various Polish genealogical reference works will also be included. Other representatives from the PGSNYS, including Denise Oliansky, president, and Dolores Ferguson, secretary, will be in attendance to answer audience questions and provide surname look-ups from the Society's databases.
