    1. [NYORLEAN] Delphia Lewis Mahnke Watson
    2. HI, I am trying to solve a mystery regarding my family tree. In 1910, I have Delphia Lewis, daughter of Walter M and Anna Elizabeth (Hile) Lewis living with her father as a widow with the last name of Mahnke. Per the 1900 census, she is a child of 13 living with her parents. By 1920, I know that she has married for a second time to Jesse Watson. My problem is that I need to find out which Mahnke she might have been married to. I have a John Mahnke, son of Charles and Elizabeth (Sewar) Mahnke, who was born in 1885 and died on October 20, 1906. He is the only Mahnke that she could have been married to. I have checked the Orleans County web site and can find nothing in regard to a marriage for this couple. Would anyone be willing to help me with this brick wall or suggest where I might look or who I might get in contact with to solve this mystery? Thanks for any help you can provide. Mary Flack

    3. I tried checking Ancestry for you. In 1905 Delphia was 18 and still living at home unmarried. If she married John he died in 1906 and is buried in Mt Albion Cemetery in Orleans, N.Y. He was 21 and she was 19. They must have married shortly before he died. Sorry but I couldn't find any records of their marriage.Diana M. Blanchard>Diana M.
