You will learn basic genealogy concepts, the types of records used, and an overview of the genealogy databases available through the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library System. The class will be taught by Rhonda Konig, a genealogy librarian for 14 years who currently serves as the Genealogy Specialist in the Grosvenor Room at the Central Library in Downtown Buffalo. She has a Master of Library Science from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Arts in History from SUNY Geneseo. Ms. Konig enjoys spreading her addiction to genealogy by teaching genealogy classes, assisting library patrons, and through her work as editor of the Western New York Genealogical Society JOURNAL.
