Hi Mary, This is Dee Robinson, Reference Librarian at Swan Library in Albion. I looked up the obituary for Mrs. Perry. In the Orleans Republican Wednesday, August 17, 1932 is the following: "Mrs. Lewis Perry. Mrs. Elizabeth Reminger Perry, 53, former Albion resident, died early Tuesday at Miss Helen Anderson nursing home at Main and Allen streets where she had been a patient for some time. She is survived by her husband, Lewis Perry of Barker; her father Conrad Reminger, and her sister, Mrs. Sam Rock, both of Albion. The funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thurday from McNall's Funeral Home at 154 South Main Street, Rev. Ralph M. Davis officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Albion." The obituary is also in the Orleans American and Weekly News Thursday, August 18, 1932; it says essentially the same thing. Hope this helps a little. I discovered this information on your county's website in Mount Albion Cemetery. I am trying to see if she was married to a Lewis Perry from Newfane. > >Any and all help appreciated. > >Mary Flack > >------------------------------- >To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > > > >
List, I'm searching for an obit for Mary (Filkins) Warner. On the site for Orleans Co. I found the cemetery listing for Mary below: Carlton Cemetery (Established 1869) Waterport Road Town of Carlton, Orleans County, New York WARNER, MARY FILKINS SMITH S2-R 1-L 1 JAN 26, 1828 MAY 6, 1914 GAINES, NY WIFE OF GUERNSEY Nobody has a clue where the Smith came from. She evidently died in the town of Gaines. Thanks, Marc Archer Flint, MI
My family, for generations, had very consistent naming patterns.? Children often were given middle names (sometimes more than one) of past grand-mothers/fathers, aunts, uncles and even favorite neighbors or famous people.? I would check around the cemetery to see if there are any "Smiths" in the area.
