Sharon, My Standish line came to Orleans County from Vermont, about 1816. They settled in the towns of Gaines and Carlton. Asa Standish (1763-1828) and wife Rebecca SHERWOOD Standish (1765-1839) are buried in the Standish Cemetery; they're my 5th great-grandparents. I looked through my database for Lavant Standish and Mattie (Matilda?) STANDISH but did not find any names or dates that looked close to yours, copied below. Paul E.
