    1. [NYORLEAN] Query about the Orleans Co COLEMANS
    2. Casey Gilliam-Zgonc
    3. My great grandfather George COLEMAN [b. 1866 d. 1941] and his family are from the Ridgeway, Medina, and Tonawanda towns. My gg grandfather was William COLEMAN [b. 1827 England d. 1888]. William was married to Mary DILL [b. 1834 d. 1913] from Scotland. They had 4 or 5 children [one died, I think] named James COLEMAN [m. Matilda Wienerd], Harry E COLEMAN [b. 1876 d. 1929], and Benjamin COLEMAN [m. Hattie Wilson from Ontario]. They were longtime residents of Orleans County. George, James, and Matilda are all buried at Boxwood cemetery. I know that George and James were involved with a funeral home business and was "manager" [per census] of a cemetery. It could have been Boxwood since they are buried there and probably would have had free plots. Just a guess. The rest of the family is buried at West Ridgeway cemetery. I would like to know if there are any relatives out there or anyone who knows any oral history about the funeral or cemeteries in the area or anyone who has pictures. I would love to talk to you! ~ Casey C.
