    1. [NYORLEAN] Sanderson
    2. ETHEL HEGEMAN
    3. I am trying to prove that the Lyman SANDERSON buried in the Darien Cemetery, Darien, Genesee Co., NY. is the son of Isaac and Cynthia (SHUMWAY) SANDERSON. Lyman is my GGG Grandfather. Also buried in that cemetery is an Isaac Sanderson. Information of Isaac and Cynthia (Shumway) SANDERSON. Their marriage intention was listed in Deerfield, MA 10 July 1802. They removed to Ashfield, MA then Barre, Orleans Co., NY. Children: Dexter (1803-1874) Orleans Co, NY Betsey Tryphena Viola Isaac Esther Sally Alvah (1814-1891) Orleans Co., NY Esther Flavilla (1818-1833) Orleans Co., NY Lyman Using the tombstone Lyman was born 24 May 1816 and death 24 Jun 1886. Using the Fed Census, Isaac was born in 1807 and the cemetery lists his death as 22 Mar 1889. Those dates would work for Isaac and Cynthia's children. Isaac of Darien names one of his children Cynthia and Helen Sylvia. Lyman's first wife dies at 45 and is Sylvia. So those two boys seem to be brothers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ethel Sanderson Hegeman [email protected] 563-355-5598

    2. =====Could someone provide me with the obit for Leslie E Thomas, who died on January 13, 2009?===== To the person who sent this request in, do you know the funeral home that cared for the person? If so do a phone search or google search for the web site for that funeral home. When you get to the funeral home web site, look for a link to: Obituary, Guest Book, etc. Lots of funeral homes are putting the obituary online on their web site. Also do copy the Guest Book comments. That will tell you what people said to the family about the person. Great to put into your Family History Binder Book. Sue **************Need a job? 3. Hi Kat, I have a chart on my Houseman connection to the Powley line in Orleans County, which goes back to Peter Covert, et al. Here is the chart from my internet pages of my genealogy records: http://iagenweb.org/harrison/special/houseman.gif If this is of interest to you, I can't be sure. However, I would be happy to answer any questions I can. Lydia Ann COVERT b. abt 1820 is possibly daughter or granddaughter of Peter COVERT, early settler of Yates, Orleans County, New York. Seeking that connection also. Lydia Ann COVERT married abt 1840 to Lorenzo ABER who was born July 5, 1822. Do not have a death date for Lydia, but do for Lorenzo (appear not to have been buried together at Lynnhaven Cemetry, on Rt 63, Lyndonville) (have their children information) Our relationship is via Sarah Jane ABER out of 8 children born (have her info and quite a bit of her siblings info), she married Eugene Emory BURTON also of Orleans County, NY, daughter of Lorenzo ABER and Lydia Ann COVERT. Seeking connection either of the ABER family or COVERT family to This GOFF is probably related to William GOFFE, the Regicide. Seeking connection: See newspaper articles at end of this posting. Tertullius (aka Tartillus) GOFF born Feb 11, 1765 in MASS died Nov 27, 1854 at age 88 yrs 9 mo (on tombstone). Both Tartillus aka Tertullius GOFF and son George GOGG are buried in Lodi, Seneca County, NY, old burial ground, south of the Lodi village. CHILDREN: 1. 1. [NYORLEAN] Was Marvin BURTON b 1805 related to Roswell W. BURTON b 1794, Orleans Co., NY
    2. Seeking parentage of Marvin BURTON and Roswell W. BURTON: Are they brothers??? Marvin BURTON b 1805, Otsego County, NY, father from MASS, mother NY Roswell W. BURTON b. 1794 (he states born in RI, mother ??); we have researched Rhode Island to no avail. Marvin lived in Roswell W. BURTON's house after Roswell died Nov 1, 1858. We are wondering if our BURTON family left RI or MASS, perhaps settled in Otsego County, NY in the early 1800's before Marvin's was born in 1805; then moved farther west after the Erie Canal was completed in the 1820's. We know that Roswell W. BURTON bought his first property in Ridgeway, NY about 1823. On Nov 1, 1858, Roswell W. BURTON dies and Marvin moves into his house. Now in 1823, there were about 800 people living in that area. We have two people with last name of BURTON, living in the same house at different times. We do now as well that our family lived shortly in Annsville, New York. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Kat King [email protected] **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. 1. [NYORLEAN] Thank you to Orleans County volunteers for census & up to date cemetery records
    2. A special thank you to the volunteers of the Orleans County for their continued transcribing. Excellent source of early online census records. The cemetery records online have been so helpful, and noted that since I last checked an obituary had been added for a kin of ours in 2006. You have excellent web site.
