    3. In checking the genealogy of William Cornwall and His Descendants, published 1901, it states that Ozias Cornwall born 1762 in Chatham, CT, died March 13, 1831 in Clarendon, NY. He served in the Revolution from Granville, Massachusetts but lived the later part of his life in NY state, mainly Norwich, and in Murray, Orleans Co. One son, Ellsworth Cornwall (1783-1850), lived in Murray in 1816, and another son, Homer Ozias Cornwall (1799-1876) lived in Murray and Clarendon from 1827 to 1854. His wife was from Murray: Eunice Lucas, born Sept 1811, died Dec. 23, 1896. I wondered if anyone was interested in this family in Orleans County, and where Ozias Cornwall was buried. Did he leave a will? Homer Ozias Cornwall and his family moved to Holt, Michigan in 1854. The second wife of Ozias Cornwall, Lydia Cornwall, was still living when her husband died in 1831. I would like to know what happened to Lydia Cornwall. Her previous surname(s) were unknown by the Cornwall compiler. There seems to be nothing remaining of the Cornwalls in Orleans after they left for Michigan. Pam

    1. [NYORLEAN] Betsy Rockett Towils Wyatt-Albion 1850 census
    2. Nancy Langdon Webb
    3. Hello, My Betsy Rockett was born in 1818, Huish Champflower, England.   20 July 1848 she left England for New York with husband George TOWILS and son John age 5 aboard the Robert Peel. She is listed on the ship as Elizabeth Towils.  This is the only time I have seen her listed as Elizabeth.  She has been Betsy or Betsey. She was Baptized Betsy Rockett. The name above hers on the ship's list is Philip Wyatt, a butcher. 1850 census of Albion has her as wife to Philip Wyatt.  I am assuming George Towils died between 1848 and 1850. I need help in finding a death for a George TOWILS and a marriage for Betsy to Philip WYATT and am beginning my search in Albion since this is the first record I have of them after arriving in the US. John is the son of George Towils and Betsy and was born in England. 1860 census the family is in Terre  Haute Indiana, where Betsy Wyatt died in 1877. Betsy and Philip had 5 children with them in 1860: 19 John   9 Edward   7 Albert   4 Walter   2 Adolphus Were any of the last 4 born in Orleans County is my question. Any help will be appreciated in my finding my family records. Thank you. Sincerely, Nancy Nancy Langdon Webb My ggrandmother, Sarah Rockett Langdon and Betsy's father Edward were siblings.
