Hi Marianne, Here is a translation from www.babelfish.altavist.com I have read today your message of a year makes and I on behalf write you of my mother, Lilla, daughter of Giocondina Ambrosini, sister of your Antonietta great-grandmother. My mother, than alive to Pens, says me of knowing that Antonietta is septicaemia dead woman, consequence of a delivery. The sons Nicholas, Rocco (than alive in California and with which my mother is in contact), Lucia and Anna were puttinges in orfanotrofio - like you already know - until the greater age. After the orfanotrofio sister of Antonietta) and its husband Vincenzo (Vincent) Vecchiotti have lived to Rochester near Julia (Julia) Ambrosini (. With the Vecchiotti they are remained until the wedding. Greater information you will be able to have them from Rocco Iannascoli or Anthony Vecchiotti (one of the sons of Julia) that it still lives to Rochester. Beloveds things and auguries I hope this helps. Found these messages on the Monroe Co. list. Can anyone translate the second message? I am looking for any information regarding my Great Grandmother, Antoniette (mispelled Antonella at Ellis Island) Ambrosini. She arrived in the United States on April 25, 1913 with Biagio Tannascoli, whom she married sometime after that. They had 4 surviving children (another I was told died in infancy): Nicolas, Rocco, Anna, and Lucia. Antoniette (and infant) died sometime around the Spanish Flu epidemic in 1918 (we originally though she died in 1920, but we've since revised this.) We believe she is buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester. At that time, Nicolas, Rocco, Anna and Lucia were placed in an orphanage - Catholic we think located in Rochester (do not know the name) - until Biagio remarried (first name Lucia). I know that they lived in Corfu in Genesee County for a while when the children were small, and moved to Rochester when they were older. I would greatly appreciate any assistance anyone might be able to provide ... Antoniette (Perhaps even called Anna?) has been difficult to track down, and I would love to find out some information for my Grandmother before she passes away (she will be 89 in a few months!) Thank you in advance! Marianne Gaudio Spencer Hi Marianne! excuse me but my English is very bad, so I whrite in Italian. Care cose e auguri Francesco P. Di Teodoro Thank you Susan

Hi Marge, I replied to the list in case there were others who might want to know... A pdf view is just a little program used to view Adobe Acrobat files. It would be used by someone who does not own Adobe Acrobat software. Same concept as you would use a Microsoft Word viewer to look at Word files if you did not own Microsoft Word. Nice to be able to look at files (but not change them) created in software one doesn't own. If you need the viewer and don't have one, you can go to the Adobe Acrobat site. I think their site is www. adobe.com, but if not, a quick search on www.google.com using "Adobe pdf viewer" will certainly find it.
