    1. [NYORLEAN] Maria BURTON b 1818 of Yates, dtr Roswell W. & Hulda, marriage or death date
    2. Maria BURTON born probably 1818 ?1816 daughter of Roswell W. BURTON and Huldah or Hulda COLE. Last known whereabouts was the 1855 census of Yates, Orleans County, NY: Maria was age 27 y/o and still living with her parents. By 1860, Hulda COLE BURTON was a widow living by herself, but next door to her son Noble BURTON & family. We have information on her two sisters, Harriet BURTON who married Christopher BAKER and Melissa BURTON who married Walter PARMALEE. All of the above except ?Maria BURTON and Noble BURTON & family, were buried in the Lynhaven Cemetery, Lyndonville, NY. I have checked the Lynhaven Cemetery for first name of Maria in case she married and was buried there. Otherwise Maria has disappeared from our radar. Need to know if she married and whom? or perhaps she is one of the unreadable tombstones at Lynhaven Cemetery, although photos have been taken of Roswell and Hulda BURTON's tombstones. Kin have visited the cemetery. Would appreciate any help. Am presently going through online cemeteries which is a long process for a Maria born 1818, in case she did get married and is buried in another cemetery. Thank you so much. 3. Congratulations to our Graphic & Photography Editor, Stu VanOrden. His photograph of Mt. Albion's Tower has been chosen for the 2009 Verizon Phone Book. Please read the letter below. Mr. VanOrden, Your photo will be in the new 2009 Verizon phone directory for our local calling area (585). In the front of the phone book is a section titled Inside Look. This particular section lists local points of interest in the community. It's purpose is to attract tourism in our area. I'm not sure if you live locally or not, but if you do, you can check out any recent Verizon phone book. Mount Albion has always had a listing in the Inside Look section but never a photo to accompany the write up. The new phone books are usually distributed in late March or April. Thanks again for your assistance. 3. Dee Thank you very much for the information. I really appreciate it and I will certainly check this out further as this could be the rght people. Chester, Harrison's son apparently lived with his wife and children in Wisconsin. So it may follow that some of the rest of the family did as well. They seemed to move around alot. I tracked one son to Nebraska as well. Thank you once again for your response. 3. Hi Linda, This is Dee Robinson, Reference Librarian at Swan Library, Albion, NY and Historian for the Town of Gaines, Orleans County, NY. I checked our Orleans County Genweb site and found that there was a Nathaniel Pool in our Town of Barre in 1830. On Ancestry.com I found a Nathaniel Pool, b. Vt. living in Green Lake, Marquette, Wisconsin with his wife Hannah who was b. in Ct. Perhaps these are the parents of Harrison, not definite proof but maybe a lead. Harrington, daughter Alzina Harrington Canfield Hi Maureen, I was just starting to check what you have listed in the below email. There is no way that Hannah could be Alzina's mother. Per a birth date of 1831 for Hannah, I have Alzina born between 1835 and 1840 depending on the census records you look at.
