Gail I have an ancestor Johannes Slot (Slott) who is supposedly buried in the pre-revolutionary section of the Goodwill cemetery. I have heard that some of the old stones have been stacked up somewhere on the property. Johannes died about 1748 +/-. One of his sons from a first marriage is Stephen Sloat, founder of Sloatsburg. I am from his second wife and my line runs thru Pine Bush with burials in New Prospect Cemetery. I have pix of the New Prospect and Hopewell ancestor gravestones. If you run across any indication of Sloat buried at Goodwill I would love to hear of it. There are no Sloats in the Goodwill book. Thanks Frank Sloat --- Gail Yeaple <[email protected]> wrote: > For Elizabeth and Florence, > > I have taken some recent photos of Goodwill Church and some of the > stones > in the vintage Cemetery--if you aren't from this area or don't have > this, I > would be happy to forward.
