I have been reading over my notes in Hall file and found the following: Carol Miles sent letter in 1993 that a Mary Milicent Hall is in David Smith's coffin book in Southfields area d at age 82 on 19 Dec 1863 James Hall purchased the coffin and said that William Hall would pay for it. I am looking for proof that James Hall and Mary Hall d 1863 are the parents of Millie Hall b abt 1814 d bef 1900 in Midvale, Passaic, NJ married John Cable and Aaron Redner William Hall b 1828 d bef 1900 married Elizabeth Redner dgt of Peter Redner Nathan Hall b abt 1804 Elizabeth Hall b 1822 d 1890 in Passaic, Paterson, NJ married Peter Redner John Hall b abt 1810 married to Susan age 45 in 1860 and living with his mother Mary age 77 children Mary 8 Nathaniel 6 Marinda 2 and a James Hall who gets the coffin for his mother Joseph T. Earl paid $4.25 on 23 Jan 1864 and William Hall paid $10.00 on 19 Mar 1864 Carol Miles said on death certificate of William Hall it said his mother was Mary and father was James Hall I did not find Joseph T. Earl but did find the following Joseph S. Earl living in neighborhood of Hall family in 1860. He is married to a Caroline B. maiden name Earl. I can find no family connection to the Hall family. Does anyone know why he would pay for 1/3 of coffin?
